i need axle help!

just got a 2gen transmission that will be going in a 93 fwd turbo eclipse! now i know i need to do a few mods which are basically done. but i had NO IDEA the axles would not fit!!!! as i was also told the 2gen axles are a bit longer. my question is can i use 1st gen awd axles on a fwd? someone said that awd axles fits perfect in a 2g trans. i really need a deffinate answer thanks guys.

Why must you try to add a rediculous comment to a serious question???

Im wondering if you need to use the axle cups out of a 2g and fit them with the rest of the 1g axle... I wish i knew more but im sure someone will chime in.. Good luck

thanks for the reply. yea i was wondering that too. the spline seems way too small on this tranny.

I had a 93 awd trans next to a 95 awd trans and my 2g front axles would fit in the 93 trans.. I was just curiouse as to see if they would mate up on the spline count, and they did! Hope this helps?

yea i heard awd's work but not the fwd so im wondering if this is even possible anymore. maybe the 2g transmission can only work in a 1g awd....

sorry to bump this back but i just recently heard that 93-94 axles will fit. i had the smaller axles on the SPZV transmission which im guessing is a 90-92 if anyone knows anything and would like to share that would be a help. also if your selling a set of axles let me know
