I need a new tranny for my car, and I don't know what my options are. It's a '95 eclipse GS and the tranny im replacing is auto (stock)

What types of trannys will work in my car?

What are you looking for exactly ? are you wanting to just put a stock replacement back in ?

an auto transmission for the 420a wont be cheap. i would suggest doing a manual conversion now because if you ever want to turbo i dont think the auto would hold up to well. it might cost a little more to get a clutch and the master and slave but its worth it.

are you nuts? do you have any idea how much work and $$ it costs to swap from auto to stick?? it's not just new trani, new clutcha and bingo... you are looking at MINMUM 4-5k and i do mean absolute minimum... just off the top of my head we are lookin at trani (95-99 neon r/t is the strongest one), clutch, shift linkage, actual shifter, new ECU, and axles. trust me... you are better off selling your car and getting a manual if you realy want one. not trying to shoot anybody down here, just tryin to save a guy some major mulah. btw as for the answer to ## ? its not going to be cheap or fun to find a trani for the car but look on ebay, local junkyards and if you absolutely can't find one... try www.mitsubishigraveyard.com that guy (Gary) will find any dsm part ever.
