I just pulled lifters and the're 3g??? help

You should be looking at the hole in the lifter, and not the whole thing itself. See if you can measure the size of the hole, and report back with the results.
 
I dought its not even close to 1/8 it more like 1/16. Take a pic and post it then well verifiy it but it does sound like you have the 3G lifers already.
 
The lifters will get dirty from anything in the oil and will tick then. I have 3g lifers too and they tick but not that bad. Aftermarket heavy duty valve springs may also cause them to make nosie. With the higher spring rate pushes the oil out of the lifter? Possible.
 
If memory serves, 3G lifters came with 99's so maybe the previous owner had already done the swap, I would wait until the new ones show up before you slam the old ones back in.

BTW the term "3G" doesn't mean 3rd generation Eclipes.
 
mine has them, it will tick a little ONLY when low on oil.

You should be able to return the new ones. But I would look at the new ones and compare them first.

Clean them, yes. Also, simply dumping some seafoam in the crankcase, idle 5 minutes, then change oil quites ticking lifters at least for a little while.
