I have a 91 talon TSI with the famous lifter tick. So I heard you can put in 3g lifters so I researched it and found out that 3g lifters didnt mean 3rd gen lifters but an actuall kind of lifter called 3g. I just wanted to make sure this was right. I also would like to know what other kind of lifters I could use in my 1g.

3g just stands for the 3rd revision of the dsm lifter. Search for revised lifters as well as it's another name for them.

I think I would go to parts dinosaur and get them for under a 100 shipped

Just curious, but what are the differences between yours and the OEM version?

Thanks for helping/clearing that up guys

Yep, sure is! :)

I'll even ship 'em to DSM'ers in the lower 48 for FREE. These are NOT the same lifters as Parts Dinosaur sells.

This might be a stupid question but I'm really low on cash and I was wondering if you would let these go for 150 shipped

+1
I got mine from Bruce at PartsDinosaur, Phoenix, Arizona, wholesale engine parts and kits for $96 plus shipping. He's a great guy and his customer service is second to none. He also offers percentage discounts based on the total of your order. I bought over $400 in replacement parts and received a 4% discount. The 3g lifters have been installed for over 20k miles have I haven't heard a single "tick" from them yet.

I'm curious, besides being pre-lubed and bled what is the difference between these and the lifters that one would pick up off of PD or any topline/ITM lifter for that matter?

We worked with our manufacturer and made a few internal changes that help the HLA respond faster. The Topline and ITM pieces are stock replacements and with the slower response time they tend to make just as much noise as your stock lifters. The problem is amplified when they're used with aggressive cams and higher spring pressures. They don't respond fast enough to take up the lash like ours do.
