ok i installed my ecu today and started up the car and it studders and everything but it studders even when the clutch is not engaged should it do that? cause i thought it would only do it when the clutch is engaged, and also i was wondering about the ecu safety thing that you have to bypass to make the knocksum gauge work or whatever. cause when i turn it on and tap the gas it doesn't move

On 2g's the stutterbox works independently of the clutch pedal, as it's based on the speed sensor, so you can 'stutter' without the clutch pushed in. To change the rpm setting, turn the key to on (do not start the car first) and depress the gas pedal all the way to the floor to move the setting up a level.

And I didn't have to change anything on my wiring to get the knocksum info in the stock boost gauge.

If you have other issues with the install, your best bet is to contact Jeff since he knows best what to troubleshoot with his chips.
