How do you think this car would look as seen in the picture but with a black roof(as like the talons)I think it would flow so good with the cf hood and black mirrors. Then black 18s with a polished lip to top if off.I work in a bodyshop so I can make it happen,I just wanted to see what you guys think ;)

Thanks for your opinions

ah looks kinda odd because my blue is a little dark.MAybe it would look better with a lowering and those black wheels. Thanks for the chop work guys :thumb:

if thats a CF hood... why not buy the self adhesive flexable sheet of carbon fiber from machv.com and make the roof look carbon fiber too... now I think that would be really cool...

that would probably end up looking cheaply done

Looks like a blue Talon with a CF hood......

To me these "black hood" guys all look like they're driving cars that were hit and pieced back together with junk yard parts.

the way i see, theres two groups, and they look at the cf in tw different ways.

Group 1 - car people/tuners/ricers see it and know what it is, either think it looks good or bad, but know its an upgrade over stock, and is lighter then stock

Group 2 - the rest of the world see it and say wow look at that shiny blue car with the crappy black hood (not picking on the car in question, just using it as an example)

i personally think cf/black hoods look good on certain cars of certain colors. most of the time i dont like it though.

I tend to agree here...it could be cause I've seen soo many rusted out Hondas with pieced together body kits and body panels to make them have more colors than Michael Jackson. CF hoods look good on certain colors of cars when its nicely done. If you can obviously tell the owner takes good care of his car (i.e. clean, no rust, good paint, etc) and can see that enormous IC, then its not too bad.

With that said, I think the cars with the Talon paint scheme always look better with the Talon wing painted black. That way the color transition from the top of the hatch to the bottom looks less jarring.

You forgot about group #3: Hard core Motorheads who liken it to their daughters playing dress-up with Barbie dolls.
Soon enough you'll be able to buy C/F hoods at Auto Zone next to the Spectre fake stainless hose dress up kits and Fast and Furious floor mats.

I think you already can, APC makes CF hoods, so...
