I HATE FWD tranny's

I dont know if its just me or if others just want to beat their FWD tranny with a hammer! My problem is i just replaced the clutch and I'm putting the tranny back on and its not lining up for shit. If the left is lined up then the right isn't or the other way around! I have all of the mounts taken of the tranny and the passanger side of the car. Also I've tried starting a few bolts, but that just puts more shit in a bind! I am usually very good mechanically when it comes to working on dsm's, but this just freaken SUCKS!!! Does anyone have any suggestions that will help?????

well dont get mad but do you have the clutch lined up with the crank you know the little tool you use to line it all up and if you do have it all lined up the the best thing i can tell you is wiggle and giggle that bad boy in ...it took us like 20 to 40 mins to get mine in but it was the motor to tranny not tranny to motor.

On my 90 laser, it took like 30 seconds to line my tranny up with the bolts holes.
I had a heavy duty floor jack underneath the tranny, and lined it up as best as I could. After that I wiggled the tranny around as much as I could (by my scrawny self) and got it to slide over the 2 guide pins??? and everything lined up after that.

That was the easiest tranny I ever pulled. It took me three hours to pull it, and an hour to put it back in. Good luck man. Have a better night.

you're tryin to get both sides in but disregarging the top and bottom. lean over the fender, grab end of the tranny, lift and shake, with a lil slide
