Welll it has been a long time since i have posted in my journal so i figured i would add some pics now that i figured out how to do it LOL. I have the bottom end almost completely assembled besides the timing assembly. I ordered the wrong damn tensioner when i bought the kit from extreme psi so im waiting on that. I also have to resize my head stud holes and re-re surface my head....yeah dsm grave yard was suppose to do both of these tasks for me but never resized my head stud holes and it looks like they just took a green scotch pad and polished my head surface. Carquest did the deck of my block and when you compare the two its night and day. The carquest work looks " professional" the graveyard resurfacing looks like something my 2 year old could of accomplished. They did manage too debur and polish my head and knife the intake ports as well as the exhaust ports. manley springs are installed as well as the 1mm over intake and exhaust valves. Once the head is complete for the SECOUND time and i get my part, i will finally be able to mate the two and continue with my build....untill i start school.
 
Im running a cometic mls...the deck on the block looks nasty, but thats just the several coats of preventitive wd-40 on their LOL. If u look at the number 2 cylinder i wiped a little part off so yuo could get a idea of what it looks like. Ive kept my block wrapped in a engine bag from summit as well as a plain black trash bag. To be honest im a little skeptical about the cometic sealing, thats why im getting my head surfaced rechecked...i wish i could get a good pic of the surface to show everyone...
 
The work was 225.....that's what I paid for the Hx-35 that I traded for the assembly and work. If I were using a oem mls I wouldn't redo the gasket surface. But I'm kinda set on the cosmetic.
 
Well, it would appear to me that they just ran it over a table stone, which i wouldn't reccomend. The shop I work for has an overhead broach which puts an amazing finish on a head. ask around at your local shops and make sure they use that kind of machine and you will be very satisfied with the finish.
 
Gotta love it LOL...acct. its a sunroom that has been converted into as build room, my garage has gravel and i have lst too many damn bolts and their not cheap LOL. So i have to resurface my head which sucks, but shouldnt be expensive....resurface, delta k272's, resized head stud holes, and tensioner and itll be together. I cant wait. Still tossing up ideas for my turbo setup. Ive been looking at a lot of the really fast times that guys have been putting down and considering a garrett setup. But i think this h1e with a jmf twinscroll top mount would be a sweet setup. We'll see though. I dont have a ton of money so it takes time LOL.
 
My goals are to run mid to low 10's in the fwd platform. I need to figure out if I'm going to use the stock mani or a smi. if I can find a good deal on one I'm going to scoop it up. Hopefully ill b done in 5 years LOL
 
Well quick update, i didnt go with the k272's they were a little out of my price range LOL. I did however get some bc 272's and with the manleyl's im running i should be fine rev'n this car out. So the build continues, ill post pics soon :thumb:
 
Looks good mines at the machine shop, all clean decked, honed, the works, just waiting on money for the build im thinking eagle rods, and manley pistons, not sure maybe je, i have time now the engine is tore down looks good.
