I purchased a 95 gsx 5 years ago when I was 17. About 1 year later I screwed up, and the car went 850 miles away and have not been able to get it back.

So today, I worked out a deal on my boss' 95 gsx for $4200

I have always loved the 95 look and do not plan on changing that. As well as the awd setup, I am really just in LOVE with these, plain and simply put.

The car has COP, free flowing muffler, gutted cat, evo III big 16g, lowering springs, wheels, cd player, short shifter, tubular mani, greddy type s bov, and a few more little things. (all done by me. This car is actually how I met my boss 1 and a half years ago)

The bad: The timing belt broke recently And so about 1000 dollars later the head will be ready. And I had a friend move the car about 100 feet so that I could move it, very long story. And the drivers side front cv shaft popped out and is screwed.

So the good: I will have a fresh head, with arp's, and new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, tensioner, cps plate, and most new gaskets. And hopefully within 1 month she will be back up and running!! The head is expected to be done the beginning of next week with a decent 600 bill. Not too bad. And all expenses to fix the car do NOT come off the total price of the car .... but I still am in a very deep loving relationship with her

But story wrapped up is:
I really don't care if you think I got a good deal. I got what my heart desires and i'm loving the absolute hell out of life today!!!

Yep, because spending 11.5 k on a mint 1999 GSX with 67,000 miles that's a solid 10 second car is the same as a beat up 95 that doesn't run... I guess you're not that bright eh?

Get over what? I'm glad he's glad that he got ripped off. I couldn't care less. If doesn't want input then he shouldn't post... Yeah called out, by some of the real winners on the site, I'm deeply hurt. I'm pretty sure I did NOT post about the other car. But yes there's way too much money sitting in that one. It got a butcher stroker crank-that went into the garbage because ffwd is a shitty service man, and i'm now a broke ass that has no money to take him to court. So instead it got an eagle 100mm stroker, crower rods, ross pistons, cometic mls head gasket, ported and polished 2g head, hks 272's, 20g, tube mani, greddy fmic, buschur racing 3" exh straight from 02 housing, green brake pads, megan strut brace bars front and rear, COP, hyundai valve cover, 6 bolt block, and a whole lot more.

And of cours it STILL needs valves lifters, rockers, retainers, springs, intake mani, fuel pump lines and rail, injectors, alternator, throttle body, and more! But hopefully one day soon with my life changing for the better, I can continue her life being the badass i've always wanted her to be.

But that's the "old" one. And I'm excited about the "new" one. Both will be treated as best as i'm able to treat them. And if anyone doesn't like how that is.... blow up a balloon

There's a sucker born every minute. I wish I could sell a DSM with a trashed head and who knows the condition of bottom end/trans for $4200, with the buyer willingly paying and happy about it. Hopefully the car is mint other than that.

Nobody really cares if you (OP) light your money of fire and dance around it, of course it wouldn't make sense to most of us, like this thread, but it's your decision.

Ok, so you're broke yet you pay $4200 for a non-running DSM with what I assume to be a stock longblock/trans and probably high mileage? Hmmm... This may have something to do with your high level of brokededednesessss


Curious though, what kind of problems did you have with FFWD? Like I'm really wanting to know what the backstory is on that one, feel free to PM me if you don't want to make it public.

Glad you love it and it's good to see people bringing these back from the dead. Need a lot more guys buying and restoring them, just need to talk sellers down to a reasonable offer.

Ok to make things CLEAR. This car has nothing to do with over 12 thousand dollars. I do own another gsx that I have put that much money into, I like supporting vendors and willing to pay high a$$ prices to get good service and quality parts.

THIS CAR is a new beginning for me in my life. After I got the first one I was making too much money, doing too many drugs, and doing too much stupid shit. I've been paying for all of those mistakes for the last few years and can't seem to get myself out of trouble and stay out of trouble. I did 1 year in county jail with work release recently and NOW i'm turning my life around and "starting over". This car is EXACTLY what I've wanted since way before I thought about driving.

Offers almost no valuable technical information (because it's impossible to learn the things you learn from building your own car when you buy an already built car) and then comes in here like he is the king.

I am happy you are happy and I really don't think you got ripped off, overpaid maybe, but all that matters is how you feel about the car. Unless you are phunny, than all that matters is himself.
