I can't figure out where this xcase leak is coming from!

When I bought this car i didnt realize the xcase drain plug was loose, and there was a leak at the input shaft seal. Needless to say, it locked up and bearings toasted. I replaced the xcase with a used one, and the seals looked ok , but after driving for a few days I noticed a small leak right below the input shaft seal (the area where you usually put a screwdriver to pry it off the tranny), so I ordered a new seal. To my surprise, when I dropped the xcase the seal still looked good, just a bit of grease around it, but I replaced it anyway. I made sure it was properly seated using a socket to tap it in. Now, a few days later, I have droplets of oil accumulating right below that second from the front bottom bolt on the xcase. I can't figure it out. Could this be overfill making its way down from the breather valve? I only put 1/2 qt of gear oil in. BTW, the yoke/ output shaft seal is fine.

As far as I can tell it's not tranny fluid. Upon further investigation, there's also oil making its way down from above. When I got the car the valve cover gasket was leaking terribly and idk for how long. I haven't had a chance to properly powerwash the undercarriage yet. This leak isn't too severe yet, only a few drops, and I can't smell that distinct burnt smell of gear oil. I'm hoping once I clean it up I'll be able to tell more. There is a ton of old oil all over the bottom end, and since this car is bone stock it's very difficult to see through all the clutter, let alone clean it properly. I'll keep you updated.
