I can only go in reverse

Hello guys I have a question. I rebuilt my tranny and I think I may have done something wrong. Now when I put it in a forward gear it will stall out and die. When I put it in reverse ( when it will go in ) It drives fine. What is going on here. Any help would be cool. Thanks guys.

put a steering wheel in the back seat and drive everywhere in reverse.
