hey whats up everyone . i just bought a 92 mitubishi eclipse 2.0 non turbo car. i love it . i payed 700 for it as a project car. the car has almost has 190000 miles on it so i just gonna do a engine swap. i think i'm gonna buy a stage 2 stroker block with a stage 5 head from slow boy racing and a tsi turbo extreme turbo kit. i plan to make this car have anywheres upward from 300 horespower . what yall think ? any information is greatly appreciated.

If you are aiming for around the 300hp range then you dont need a stroker, the 2.0 will be more than fine. Also you are going to have a fun time trying to get traction since you are FWD. And you don't need a stage 5 head with a stroker engine, I mildly ported head will be just fine. If you are going with a stroker and want to make take advantage of the power it can make than you are going to want to do some tranny work.

Our bottom end internals have been known to handle 400hp reliably from the factory. A stroker kit is just overkill unless you plan on really shooting high into the numbers. Or just want to be different?

Take a look at the Tuning Guide. You can hit 300 HP tried and true with that path all day long.

Yes, a stock 4G63t should work fine. A stroker is overkill for 300HP. Also, you're going to want to get an LSD for traction. And maybe even a Shep tranny. Good luck.

Welcome to the wonderful world of DSM's and they headaches the MAY cause. I agree with everyone else, stroker and stage 5 head is extreme. For the same price, get a 6 bolt 4g63t and a Shep tranny, you wont regret it.
