I was told these were fine so i bought a powdercoated hyundai valve cover. first time out oil has filled spark plug area. It is not in the wells of spark plugs(under boots) but in the right corner. It will not shoot out anywhere at an idle only when I drive probably higher rpms. :sosad: So i've tried an aftermarket ebay oil cap and a autozone one but for a 98 gsx. Do I need a hyundai cap? and I went to the dealer he has never heard of 4g63 and told me to go to the kia dealer LOL . Anyways anyone have this problem and know what to do? It doesnt appear I have any cracks on valve cover other than bolts somewhat chipping the chameleon paint away DOh.

Sounds like its cracked right near the timing belt. Mine used to do the same thing till I changed it. Even a tiny hairline crack can open up when bolted down. I am assuming your valve cover gasket is good right? Take it off and look at the underside of it. You can 98% of the time find the crack easiest that way. Hope this helps.

It looks like it is spraying from two bolts. each bolt is near a spark plug in the indented part. But what gasket do I buy I have no idea what hyundai it came off of or can I just buy a dsm one?

I tried to mark in red where it is leaking , well believe it is. Only leaks when I go on the road. I cant just rev it to make it leak.

If I can just buy spark plug gskets Can I buy the ones from extremepsi that say evo 8/9? or do I really have to spend 70 bucks
