Which is better? I found a timing kit for my 420a with a mechanical tensioner on rtmracing.com. They claim its more reliable. Anyone have any experience with it?

Mechanical tensioners require a kevlar belt as they dont stretch no way near as much. A few have used them fine for years. Just make sure the tensioner is designed well to lock and not vibrate loose causing the tension bolt to back off
