hellotbone said:Having used both in Diesel applications the Hy35 spools like lightnening compared to the HX40 but Im pretty sure any Hx turbo's will be laggy on our cars but I could be wrong.
I couldn't even image the lag I had one on my 600 HP + diesel truck and the lag was sickening. Has anyone looked at the schweitzer thats what Im running now on my truck its called the B1 bonber series and they move some serious air.tbird said:basically looking for the a/r ratios and has anyone used a hx40 on a 4g63? what was the lag like???? trying to find out what lag will be so i can order my torque converter
Yes, you can bolt an HX-40 to our Mitsubishi turbine housing which will fit a 1st or 2nd gen. However, it must be a "bolt down" style turbocharger. The newer 2003 and up came with a V-Band clamp style bearing housing, this V-Band style will not work. There are several different HX-40 cartridges that will work, they will all have different compressor wheels for different HP ranges. The complete turbo that we sell on our website is the largest.
