HX40 Question

Hi,

I am looking into a HX40 set up and I was trying to figure out which HX40 to go with, I am under the impression that there are different types of HX40s. Can someone elaborate for me? I have searched around and cannot seem to find an answer. Is it just based on the housing size and compressor blades/number?
