did you have to makie another thread on this question to find your answer? im sorry for being little mean but dude theres so many threads on both these turbos. :ohdamn:

This is like your 5th thread on what turbo to get, Just go with a damn hx-35, enjoy the god-made spool and power that it takes you too, with only spending $500. What more do you need??

Yeah thats his choice!!! I cant say much for the FP turbo, but you wont regret the Holset!

i only make them because i keep reading on them and i keep seeing things better on both sides.

im not trying to be a smartass but if i was you id find to people with those turbos and ask them the same question about their turbos and see which turbo sounds better. me personally im going with a hx35 cause its cheaper and i have a bolt on BEP housing. hope that helps, the only problem with the hx35 is it doesnt really wake up tell pretty close to 30psi and im going to keep my psi at around 24.
oh and even better if those guys are close, drive to them and get a ride in their cars!

But an even better question, whats more reliable, driving a hx-35 to 40psi and achieving 500hp, or an hx-40 to 30psi and achieving 500hp....Personally, If I ever wanted to run 550hp+ in the future, I dont really want to buy another T3 manifold to use the stock housing and run 45psi...I feel a little funny running that much boost on a DD....Idk thats just me...

I have personally seen a hx-35 stock housing on an t3 ERL full spool @ 4200 running 500ish hp @ 35psi with other boltons.

and Then I sit here an hear about all these .55a/r BEP, FP race Manifolded hx-40's full spool @ 4200 and over 500ish hp @ anywhere from 32-36psi on E85.

Same spool, and if you want to go bigger you have the hx-40 to take you there. (these numbers based on a 500hp range) Not for all you quick spooling 400hp guys out there with the hx-35.

But if you expect 450-600hp on a damn budget??? Hx-40 FTMFW

hx-35 (300-450) hx-40 (450-650) these are my thoughts.

Alex, consider your goals and if you ever want to go bigger.

Kind of describes the Big/E3 16gs, LOL.
They are a "real" direct bolt on and have run the same/faster 1/4mile times as hx35s that have MUCH more dyno power.
Used ones are FAR less than $500.

And the Fp3052 has numerous high 10sec dsm passes under its belt, not that the hx35 isn't plenty capable
