Hey guys i have been searching but have not been able to get a clear answer about the adapter needed for my holset hx35 oil feed i have ordered the extreme psi kit with the holset option and that adapter does not fit its way to small to thread in 12mmx1.5 to -4 an then a sales man at extreme psi told me the 1/4"npt to -4an would work but thats no good either can any one help?

Every HX35 I've ever seen is 12mm x 1.5. Post up some pics of your inlet if you can.

There's no way a 1/4" NPT fitting will thread into an unmodified 12mm x 1.5 hole. I've tapped the 12mm x 1.5 holes to fit 1/4" NPT fitting at customer's request, but this must only be done when the turbo is completely disassembled as it literally fills the center housing with metal.

the blue on is the 12mmx1.5

You're forgetting to remove the Holset fitting from the housing.

Once you remove the big hex fitting that you're trying to thread all of these adapters into, you'll reveal a 12mm x 1.5 thread.

Justin, that fitting is cast into my housing on my turbo, what thread is it that goes in there??

I spoke with a diesel turbo tech that specializes in cummins/holset builds and got an explanation about housings a bunch of other good specs and holset "secrets" too :) but anyway, I don't have that removable fitting It's casst into my housing and the only thing that fits is a power steering reverse flare fitting, any idea the thread on that?

You're kinda screwed- nothing that adapts to our cars will thread into that fitting.

What I've done in the past is drill and tap the flange to accept a T3 oil inlet adapter:

Actually i go it under control, there's many fittings with that flare atthe local fastner warehouse, even in earls fittings, it's a very common power steering fitting and thread, can't recal the thread but iut's like 5/8ths flare or soemthing it's called and i can get adapters to -4 or about whatever i want which is nice to know :)

thanks for the help though
