I have an hx35. I am trying to bolt it to a BEP housing. I have seen a couple thread like this that dont seem to be resolved. Unresolved bep thread

I cleaned my chra with a wire brush, no rust what so ever. but it still doesnt fit.

Are there any bright ideas as to how to get this to fit? I tried a BFH, does seem to do anything though. The chra just kinda sits in the bep housing, its not tight in there at all.

Mine Also looks like this. Oiling is a big deal. Have you checked oil pressure and do you have a sufficient sized return?

Yes you guys seem to be correct. I took off my oil filter housing to inspect it. I took the oil filter relief fitting out and the plunger portion of it was jammed into the oil filter housing. This was causing ridiculously high oil pressures which I believe led to the demise of my first Holset. So, I cleaned the plunger portion and ported the relief hole. I do appreciate the responses and I am glad that I at least have the turbo mounted correctly. I started the car last night and my engine oil pressures and my turbo oil pressures were looking much, much better. Thanks guys!

Now I have another problem all together. Front O2 wont oscillate. Great. I am just getting used to DSMs continually having problems. My girlfriend named my car Murphy, so far her name has held true because it has been nothing but a pain in the ass. I will tough it out though, this thing should be fun as hell to drive when it's all fixed up.:hellyeah:

Yes, I do believe the oil return is large enough. the return starts with a factory holset return line which leads to a 3/4" I.D. silicone tube that attaches to a 2g return line and mounts to the oil pan. I may have to drill out the oil pan more to get it a little bigger. You can see it in my build thread, just scroll to about the middle of that huge first post.

I had the same problem on a HX35 with BEP housing. Try taking it appart and putting the metal side shims the opposite direction. Ex from up and down to side to side. That helped me when mine didn't line up quite right.

The very last time I put the turbo together on Sunday morning this is exactly what I did. It didn't really change a whole lot, but it did seat differently when fully bolted down. If I am not mistaken this is because the first time I put the brackets on, they bent that way sorta, so flipping them gave it a little bit of spring action.
