so i picked up dsm number 4 a week ago a 1997 GST. It does have eagle internals in the bottom end and fierra in the head, fmic, apexi bov, gm maf, hks evc, apexi safc 2 so n-e way im running 14 lbs on it and i was going down a back road i down shifted to third and got on it about 6k it acted like it was losing power. i let out then got back in it then it really started running bad sounded like three cylinders. so i went to a friends close by opened the hood and my dip stick was almost all the way out there was oil everywhere and even some coolant! i filled the oil and coolant back up and changed the plugs and started it and it is shooting water out the gasket between the turbo and mani so im guess i destroyed the head gasket... there is a tiny bit of milt in the head but none in bottom end, but ive never seen a head gasket that bad before, think i may have destroyed the turbo water seal also?? well thanks for any input guys.

Sounds like you have an idea what it is, what do you need input on? If you're trying to confirm it's the head gasket, start with a compression test, followed by a cyl leakdown test. This should tell you pretty definitively if it's a HG, but you can also put a pressure tester on the cooling system and start the car. If the head gasket is blown the guage should jump up very quickly. Or put the cooling system under presure and pull all the spark plugs and see if the cylinders start filling with coolant(I've had them actually start filling up the spark plug well).

i only started it for a second and no milk in the lower end oil but i pulled the valve cover and i can see a couple little water droplets on the cams, and no i dont want to see a water show im trying to keep the water from getting into my main bearings, i really dont want to have to replace any more then the head gasket and timing belt since im already in there and maybe even the water pump. my on scare is if i blew my turbo seals out and im pissing water out of there also.. and yes it was smoking white after it started running like crap but it didn't smell like anti
