Looks like a knock off to me. You can tell by the arm that connects to the wastgate flap, a real 16G has a flat arm, that one is round.

Sorry to say its the chinese knock off. id be really careful he said he took it off cause hes engine was leaking oil badly, thats a huge sign of turbo failure!!!

If i were you id take the negative feedback and not pay, tell him you think its going to break or its already broken, or tell him he said it was a real mitsubishi turbo and you had some people check it out and its a fake, i think thats good grounds

Yea, look it has the infamous "TURBOCHARGER" stamped on it that all knock-offs do. Its like buying turbos for dummys or something .

Yeah, I mean the seller is taking no loss there, he can always give the previous bidders a "second-chance" offering if you tell him you think it's a jank turbo.
