Depends on the efficiency of the compressor. If you're stuck at 20 psi because you're knocking on a turbo that is better off at 30, drop timing, increase boost. You'll get more power with the added airflow than you would on the aggressive timing curve.
I disagree that it depend on the efficiency of the compressor. At 30 psi, the difference in aircharge heat with a 70% efficient intercooler is 7*F between 65% and 75% compressor efficiency. A 20psi, the difference is slightly less. I ran my 60-1 at 15 psi for a long time with no issues. I knocked at 20 psi AND 30 psi (where it is much more efficient) unless I had water injection active.

But I do definately agree that more power can be made on pumpgas with more boost (or flow) and less timing.

I have been reading as much as I can about this turbo as I am about to order one.

I have been debating on the 3076 or the 3582 and after reading things over on the evo forum I am going to order the 3582hta. My question is for the guys running these, Do you have any suggestions or regrets about choosing this turbo over another? Also what were you on before you made the move?

I am going from the EIII to this so I know there is going to be alot of differences and alot more lag but I am hoping this will still be able to be somewhat streetable. I do plan on building a new block next winter but I have not yet decided if it will still be a 2.0 or a stroker motor. All data in my profile is current as of now.

Thanks for any imput.

Yes I am in blow through. I am not 100% sure about how accurate those airflow numbers are.

Well, are you running 21-22 psi? Your bootest shows that. If you are, then your airflow should be accurate. But you have your "use map" function active and switch over to the VE tables at only 2000hz:confused:. Your smim and fp3 cam should make that default VE table VERY inaccurate.

Regardless of where you're at, it looks like you have plenty more in her.

Andrew, the dyno sheet in your profile that shows 389 whp w race gas and 22 psi - what turbo were you running at that time?

Gary

I would like to know this also and what a/r wheel you are using.

Just got paid today so looking at placing my order this afternoon. Too bad they are on backorder.

The GM MAP was ~ 1-2 psi away from the boost est. You just need to adjust your airflow sliders slightly is all, not a bad 50lb of air though ;)
