As far as using an ecu that wasn't made for boost, the portfueler takes care of all of the tuning while in boost.....And it's a well known fact that past 15psi with stock timing the car will knock with a reasonable afr

Couple of things, the portfueler will only adjust your fuel map, not your ignition map. When you go WOT your ignition advances which is usually bad for boost. As far as anything more than 15psi and you need to adjust the timing well thats considered "the norm" but there has been several cases where people have run more than 15psi on the stock ecu for ignition but just had good ve table. I do agree though that with meth injection at 15psi you will be ok, but you will still need a proper tune.

i am new and the is my first adventure into tuning, i do not want bashing or hating, just some helpful advice, thanks, an i already got my wide band an other gauges as well as fcd an missing link

Yes, I use the msd 6212 to pull timing if need be, I haven't had to yet... But yes, I agree with everything you said. 15psi seem to be about when timing needs to be removed due to the stock timing tables. Last year I was at 16 psi before I pulled the motor for more work, and didn't have any knock, so I doubt I will need to pull any timing once the water/meth goes on with a higher boost level.

You need and fcd OR a missing link. Not both.

I would go with an electronic fcd. My missing link actually just crapped out after a year of use.... Nothing like a little fuel cut to wake you up LOL.

I suggested both.. using the ML to protect the map sensor, as over time the boost can kill them. The fcd will be the actual clamping toll we use. Nothing wrong with extra insurance, nothing like troubleshooting a drifting map sensor.

I considered the two in conjunction since the 420a map sensor wasn't designed to read positive pressure, has anyone had any problem just using an electronic fcd and leaving the map sensor to boost pressure in the past? I wanted to use both but now that my missing link (check valve) failed, I might not be, not sure why it failed on me yet.. I need to look at it.

but back on track, what numbers am i looking at with a good tune?

Estimate about 270ish. Do it and let us know.
I was also going to ask, do you have the actual Hahn portfueler? Or do you have an AIC-1 with data acquisition? Split Second makes one that allows you to log afr with the unit instead of just rpm and boost.

Its a legit hrc portfueler with the split second eic. I ran both in the past with no issues. I just blocked the filter hole in the ML.
