Kinda hard to read exactly what your asking. Sounds like you are looking to understand how the MSD ignition and Portfueler will wire together?

Honestly i need to look up some things but didnt your portfueler come with directions? Hahn has tech support for this, you paid good money for it, take advantage. I think Baxsom is running this setup he can possibly be more help. To my knowledge you can install the tach adapter and on the output of the tach adapter just split off the tach wire to the MSD and to the portfueler. I thought that was how people were installing it but check with baxsom to be sure.

I'll be running the same setup so it would be great if someone could post the answer to this question.

If any of our 2GNT experts definitively knew the answer, they would've posted it by now. Call Hahn, it won't take more than five minutes, and you won't get any "I think" or "I suppose" answers; just "yes" or "no."

Here, I even got the number for you...

you do not need the portfuelr tach adapter

the msd dis 2 has a tach adapter output that will work with the portfueler

Brad at hahn even asked me if i had a msd to make sure that i didnt buy stuff i didnt need.

it is not the tach adapter that you use to keep the CEL away

on the side of the actual MSD box there is a spade plug that is used for tach output

it is close to the red light that blinks when the ignition fires

yep
it is strong enough to run a datalogger as well

i have my portueler plus my zeitronix on a spade plug into that plug on the MSD unit

id take a picture but its under the passengers seat

but yeah find the indicator red light and its right under that

works perfectly

you do still need the tach apapter part 8912 though but it wires inline to the MSD ignition harness,
