1G How would you attach this side skirt?

I finally found a passenger door side skirt for my 92 Talon. It needs to be painted but that's not an issue.

The issue is how to attach this thing. There's holes in the metal door but there doesn't seem to be any provisions for clips on the side skirt that match up.
Does anyone have suggestions or pictures of how this was secured by the factory?

My FSM is for a 91 and the online manual doesn't show what I'm looking for.

Is there some kind of double sided mega tape or 3M super glue that'll work?

There is a 3m double sided tape that's for mouldings. It's very strong. They sell it at the auto parts store.

The door has holes for fasteners then that is the correct way to attach it. The molding should have someplace for the push pins to slide in if it is off of same car

There's no molding where clips would go on the plastic trim I got. It doesn't look they broke or anything, it just looks like they were never there from the factory.

Does anyone have a 1992 Eagle Talon factory manual that shows the trim and how it attached?

i have similar holes on my 97 tsi doors.. the trim was missing when i bought the car from the previous owner.

i bought 3/8 and 5/16 nylon plugs from local hardware store (.25-.50/a piece) in hope of sealing the doors up.. had to widen a couple of the holes in the door with a drimmel before popping the plugs in.. works OKAY with a dab of silicone.

+1 for 3m double sided tape for re-attachment... however, be prepared to use a heat gun inch by inch if you ever want to remove the tape, it can be a PITA

If there arent any clips or holes id also recommend the tape option.

Use clips and avoid any type of tape. Do it once do it right!
