how to wire a aftermarket tach

got a autometer 5inch tach with shift light call me a ricer idc but i personally like the mounting spots i have found for the tach and the shift light but i was wondering what wires go to what i can state the obvious red power and black ground but green wire goes were?....i have found alot of people use the ecu and the cas but im running a megasquirt and not sure were it could plug into that and havnt found anything for info on that and not running a cas b/c the megasquirt. i have also read that people use the coil but im not 100% sure what wire the green or white one would go on the coil pack and if that would even be a good option. any help would be great please and thank you.

as long as your stock rpm gauge is working. you can take the cluster out and on the back their is a screw that you can tap on too. just look for the one that has tach above it.
