They look the same to me, I have a 1g on, well my 1g, and another guy with a talon gave me his exhaust manifold cause he got some kind of welded racing manifold. He told me it was a 2g but look like my 1g, and looking online they both look the same, so how can I tell if its a really a 2g, or if he gave it to me to get rid of it.

The 1g auto manifold has a really really small port where it goes into the turbo..The 1g manual manifold is a little larger is comparison with the runners and the same port to the turbo..the 2g manifold is even larger yet...

yup mine has the bridge so I guess it really is a 2g, but mine also has a nipple with a bolt a few inches down on the same airpassage were the bridge is, Not sure what that is for? It also came off another 1g so im assuming is it ported already?

Those 3 holes between the 4 runners will be alot smaller and more circular on the 2g manifolds compared to the 1g's narrow, oval holes. :thumb:

If it has been ported, the step in the opening seen in the pic below would not be there:

just for future refrence, would it be better to have a ported evo III manifold on my car, or one of those shiny nice looking curvy ones? I like to evoIII cause it still looks stock, but what would benefit me powerwise? Just want to know so when i got the money saved up.

but would I be better of getting a aftermarket manifold instead of an evoIII,

It all depends on what you are looking for. I personally prefer the FP Cast Race manifold over a tubular in a bolt on configuration, just for reliability, and the best performing cast manifold on the market IMHO. BUT the Evo 3 Mani is very capable as well. It is all in what your budget allows for. If you want that extra couple ponies, maybe save a few more dollars and go for the FP manifold.

I was looking on extream psi and they have evoIII manifolds for like 210 brand new i think, but there was another tubular one that had a T3 turbo outlet that i was looking at and it was fairly cheap to, Im not sure whether I going to get a evoIII 16g or another turbo system when I have the money. Im not to sure yet.

If anyone wanted to know im looking at trying to get high 300's to 400 hp, but im working of a part time job and college so I dont expect to be there for a while, especially since my maintance is being draged out further than I thought cause of low income cause of my hours cut:(
