How can you tell if you have an eprom ecu ? What are the differences between eprom and non- eprom?

Is that saying that a non-eprom ECU can be converted to a eprom ecu w/ the use of a daughterboard utilizing the microcontroller circled in green?falcone4g63 said:

Steve
The board included in the 1G DSMLink setup isn't a "daughterboard" per se - they call it a "memory board" - basically all it is is a CPLD microchip w/flash memory on board to allow changes made to the configuration to be stored. You still have to have an EPROM ECU to be able to use it.project_tsi said:Ok, but now the new version of DSMLink for 1G's comes w/ a daughterboard included. Is this a different kind or does it not act the same as mentioned on TMO's site?

Just find an EPROM ECU on the trader or ebay. They can be had for about $300.
