Im trying to take out my cables and there is absolutely no way to get them through the firewall im stumped, there removed from the tranny and I unbolted the rubber grommet by the fire wall but cant remove them from the shifter base

suggestions?

They should just be held onto the shifter with clips that you take out and then they will come off of the shifter. They are a pain in the ass to replace because of all the tight spaces but they will come out.

Edit: I would also recommend you take them out through the engine bay. It will go easier that way

yeah that's what im having a problem with thanks for the help im going to try and pry them out just didn't think it would be such a hassle I didn't want to break anything
