how to remove cam cap guide?

Any idea or sugestion to remove this cam cap guide? i need to helicoil that

Find a small socket that barely fits the ID of the alignment dowel then lock vice grips on the OD, and twist.

It will walk out

Just a side note is if the pliers leave gouges in the guide make sure to file them off so they don't ruin the bore on the cam cap when you put it back in. Just take the "high spots" off.

I used a slide hammer with a pilot bearing puller. If I recall, only one “leg” would fit but working it around easily popped the dowels out I needed to remove.
