I'm trying to inspect the clockspring to see if it's damaged because the SRS light is on and the airbag was replaced with a talon airbag. I disconnected the negative cable. Can I wrap it in like a shirt so it doesn't touch metal or does it need to be rubber? Also do I need to buy one of those anti-static wrist bands to prevent me from setting the airbag off? My car is a 95 gsx 5 speed eclipse, do any of the 95-99 airbags work on my car? I know 95s have a different airbag system because we use front impact sensors. Not sure if the steering wheel airbag is any different and maybe that's why the SRS light on because it has the wrong airbag?
