How to log

Hey everyone im using a m100 with correct connector to connect it to my 1995 tsi awd. I can connect it to the car while its running and do things like view sensors and look at CEL's and erase them. I am wanting to know how to use this thing as a logger so that i can beneficially tune my car. I am using palmnstein i believe. Are there any other good and easier to use loggers available for the 2g. And please no comments about getting dsm link i dont have the money now and am leaving for the army in a month and a half

Edit - **just read your post again, my bad. I used MMCD without problems, is this an option for 2g ECUs? Can you not log anything? You must be connecting if you are clearing CELs, is there a online pdf/info on how to use your program?

EvoScan will log the 95-96 MUToverOBD2(aka Hybrid) protocol.
You are still limited to OBD2's slow speed(10-12 samples/sec), but you can log things like KnockSum that you can't with a plain OBD2 logger.

Newer 2Gs (97-99) can use the same MUT3 protocol that the Evos use. This allows 180 samples/sec rates.
