hey guys im sorry for throwing this out but i really need help putting my transmission on my talon ..i just bought a 1995 talon with no transmission. i went out and bought a 98 gst transmission since the car i have is fwd turbo..but im new at this so if anybody could pleaseee help meon step by step ...

If you need a transmission install guide, look at VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions.

You can get a good idea for installation based on a clutch install FAQ. Here is one for a 2G AWD for reference. If you do a bit of searching, you will find what you are looking for, and don't have to place a post like this in the wrong thread.

Are all 2g fwd transmissions the same? I bet they are since they do not have an output shaft to a transfer case, but there is a difference from 95-96 and 97-99

From what i've been able to find all of the FWD transmissions are the same, other than a few slight differences in the transmisison itself.

I agree with twicks69, when I did my clutch install I followed the guide on VFAQ and also found another one just by searching for "clutch install dsm."

I wish my transmission install took 1:25....


But I suppose I had no idea what I was doing in the first place.
