How to get rid of boostcut.

Hi. Why do I get some sort of boostcut when i try to boost over 15psi? Have a 16g mbc, wally 190, MFPR, and 550cc. Stock 97 ECU no piggyback. Do i need something to tune with to get rid of this boostcut? Have the car on a dyno right now hooked up to all sorts of instruments wideband ,egt, ect. So I wont do any damage, dont worry. But I need to get past this boostcut of 15psi? How?
 
Now way to get around it? My budget is blown allready, dont have a eprom. Is just shooting for around 18psi but then the stupid boostcut kicks in.
 
No, you have to tune around it. It comes from the ECU reading too much load from the MAF.
 
Either turn the boost down or get a tuning device. Why are you even running 550cc injectors without a fuel management system???

Dont know, have a proffesional on the case, he told me that he manipulated the Fuel pressure.:S Dont ask:S Runs fine on the dyno.. Think the guy know what he talks about, he have built a Transam with 1400hp. So i trust him.

A transam is not a DSM nor even on the same platform...

The ECU believes you have 450cc injectors running at 43.5 base fuel pressure. If you alter any of those then your trims will be completly off. You need to alter the signal with either a SAFC or change the code on the ECU via ECMLink, putting in a 98/99 flachable ECU, or go full standalone AEM EMS.

You cannot just change the fuel pressure and expect it to run properly, nor can you just turn up the boost and think that everything is fine when your AFR leans out. It's called 100%+ IDC (no more pulsing injectors).

Another route to go is to find a cheap apexi safc for sale on the forums and a logger. Both can be had for much cheaper than DSMlink with an eprom ecu, although most would argue DSMlink is best. Atleast with a logger and an afc you can control your injectors.
 
this isnt a honda you cant just throw things together and they magically work. if you wanna run more boost you need the proper modifications to run them. you need to turn the boost down or get an safc or afc to increase your fuel ratios. how do you know that your injectors are 550cc? is that just because your mechanic said so? a transam and a dsm are two completely different cars let alone engines. he must not have very much knowledge or he wants you to blow your car up and laugh because you buy things and have no idea that you need a tune.

also looking at your modifications, are those up to date? if so why do you have the stock exhaust still. that could also be why your hitting boost creep along with your non tune. you cant go into these cars and expect them to last long if you have a budget. maybe youd be better off with a honda? im just saying

wow really i didn't know that this was a forum for transams u should probably pull you head from in between your legs and actually listen to some of the stuff people like spawned are saying cause they are really trying to help u out.... but apparently your mechanic is king of dsm's and he knows more that this entire forum
 
I know people is just trying to help. I dont know a shit about tuning and stuff. I just thrusted this guy knowing that he is some of the best tuners in Europe. The transam was just an example that he has build one of the fastes car in the world. I dont know if I have 550. That was just what I was told when buying the car. But thank you for helping.
