How to get codes on a 1G?

Anyone tell me how to get codes on my 91 alone and also have a list of the codes?

You can get them from a datalogger, go to www.pocketlogger.com . You will want one anyways for tuning. They are pretty valuable. And palm pilots are pretty cheap on Ebay. The other cool thing is that you can reset codes with it as well.

Thanks guys, OK I went to Advance Autoparts and got an Actron Multitester just about like this one:

What do I need to set it to and such to test for codes??

AWWW Man. You should have just had them pull codes for you instead of buying that thing. Well at least around here they pull for free.

It says 0-5v, but on this I don't see that? Also, which place do I plug in the little test connectors that will then connect to the obd port on the other end of the wires? Here's a pic, if someone could help me, it'd be much appreciated:

Not on an OBD1 Talon they don't.

you can't use a digital multimeter to pull codes. you need a analog volt meter with a needle. if you get a haynes manual for a 1g it will tell you exactly what you need and how to do it and all the codes. you can get the manual at advance auto for around $20. i pull codes on my 92 gsx like that.

Where could I get a multimeter likely? Advance claimed they didn't have them. I have a Haynes manual BTW.

try going to sears, they should have them. the info you need is in chapter 6 page 9 of the haynes manual.
