So I popped my hatch open today and a bunch of water came out, I'm hooking up my subs soon and seeing how electronics and water don't really get along to well I need to fix this. I don't have a rear wiper which has been a cause for other hatches, so what would it be?

Check where the glass meets the hatch at the bottom, it's a common problem for them to leak there, clear silicone is your friend. Give that a shot and let us know.

You can always crawl in the car and have a friend spray that area with a hose to physically see where it's coming in.

You'll have to replace the door gasket that encompasses the entire opening of the hatch area.

Have to goto a dealer and order the gasket, and when you get it, you'll have to remove the struts from the hatch itself (use a broom handle to prop open the hatch while doing this task since that hatch isn't on the light side) to pass the new gasket through.

Gasket should run between 35 to 45 bucks, or hit a yard and see if their is any busted up DSM's out there with good door gaskets.

Ok well I'll deal with that issue when I have the money for it, since it only happened when I opened the hatch I'm not to worried about it as I won't use it much anyways.

Here's how you do it...you and a buddy go for a road trip. Have buddy hop in the back with a lighter and fire up that shit! Depending on what you are firing up, you can follow wherever the smoke goes or move the lighter around while lit until you find your draft. Sometimes it helps to crack a winder for a lil cross breeze. Good luck! :thumb:

It would be a lot safer to simply pull the plastics out of the hatch and spray the hose on outside of the window and wing. Check the window seals and where the wing bolts down to the hatch. There should be a gasket in between the wing and the hatch.
