im making lazy eye lights and i want the headlights to be stuck in one position. how can i disable the motors and still be able to turn beams on and off. is the a wire harness i can unplug or fuse i can remove?

Remove the Lower passenger side kick panel, under the dash. Look for a group of wires. There will be a set of three, going into what looks like a plug, about the size of a “chiclet” gum. All three go in one side, none come out of the other side, it is like an end terminator looking deal.

Inside this plug is a little diode that you can remove. Use a very small screwdriver or a “pick” tool, and remove diode. Now the auto pop up will be disabled. Headlights will need to be “off” to manually move the lights up or down. If you turn head lights on, pop ups will stay down. Lights on, pop up switch on, the pop ups will remain down until you turn off your headlights off, then they pop up, then you can turn head lights back on.

This is known as the “chiclet” mod and is written up on VFAQ. So look for it for more info. Have fun! :laser:

did all that stuff and it worked but now my fog lights dont go on...any ideas how to make them work now?
