How do you all clean your car to make it look nice and what wax do you use? Also how do you dry your car without scratching it? I also tried to clean the inside of my windows but they are all streaked how do I prevent this? Thanks

I just use Windex on the inside of my windows, and Rain-X on the outside of them. I NEVER have a problem driving in the rain. :thumb:

I use Zymol car wash and wax. Zymol wash is definitely the best I've seen. When drying, I use 1 or 2 normal towels then finish the drying with a special towel I got at AutoZone called microfiber or something like that. It's made especially for drying and won't leave water prints or lines. For windows, I use Hi-Sheen. Got it at a glass place. It's a strong cleaner and works well with tints. Not too bad on streaks.

I prefer Meguiars, but that's me.

Do yourself a BIG favor and get yourself an electric random orbit buffer (any parts store, made for waxing). You can apply and buff off three or four coats of wax before you do one coat by hand and your arms won't ache!

Streaked windows? Do you smoke or did the previous owner smoke? You'll want to clean that off first. It's not easy. Keep cleaning! Try scraping with a razor blade too.

^^^^ This is exactly what I do. ^^^^
As far as the paint. Dirt power washes off my car because I keep it waxed and my paint is only 2 years old anyway. Many times, I dont even need soap or a sponge/cloth/etc.

I use the Mr. Clean autodry system, but I use "the absorber" to help speed up the drying process. Wax with Meiquires 3-step system at least once a year and use Mequires Gold Class the rest of the time. For windows I use Stoner auto glass cleaner and crumpled newspaper.

Works like a champ! :D

Definitely get this. Wal-Mart has one for around $20...a great buy! :thumb:

I know it sounds weird, but to prevent streaking, use newspaper instead of paper towels. I didn't belive it till I tried it, but afterwards I was like "woah". I couldn't even tell there was a window there.

Wouldn't the ink rub off?

I have found the window cleaners that come in an aerosol can kick the bloody poo out of stuff like windex. I don't know about using it on tinted windows. It comes out a little foamy and smells like a$$ but that is the pnuemonia uh I mean amonia which evaporates much faster than windex and no streaks.
I use that and a clean cloth personally.
As for the exterior I use rain and mud, it keeps every thing else off pretty well.

I clean my car with Maguiras Car Wash liqued, I mix with water in a bucket then wash. Then I just clayed and waxed my car. I went to a local pepboys and got some clay, and depends on condition of paint but the Maguiras 3 step process for wax is really great. Claying once a year is really nice, After I was done it looked like a new finish. For windows good old windex gets the job done.

Don't laugh... I've been doing this for years.

Take a windex bottle or another sprayable bottle. Fill it with 75% water and 25% vinegar. Shake it up, grab some newspapers and do your thing. This is the best window cleaner I have ever used, plus it saves a bunch of money.
