Just wash it. Use a microfiber rag or microfiber wash mit to wash with. Use GOOD car shampoo, not dish soap. And use a microfiber towel to dry. Shouldn't hurt the paint.

Ya just wash with good car soap, but don't wax it for another couple of weeks.

I can wash it now even if it was just painted last thursday?? I just want to make sure I dont mess up my new paint job.....

thanks guys.... :dsm:

Yes you can wash it, i just had mine painted a couple of weeks ago and i washed the day after i got it back. But you CANNOT wax it for atleast a month. otherwise it will phuck up your paint. but deffinatly wash the dirt off of it or it will eventually phuck the paint up anyways.

I work in a body shop cleaning up and detailing cars all day. It wont hurt to wash it at all, just use a microfiber rag like everyone else has said. We get cars that come out of the paint booth and within 2 hours or so we are washing them with no problems whatsoever. I forget who said it but they say to wait atleast a month before waxing for the paint to fully cure.

last time i had a car painted they said to keep it out of the sun and to wait about 3 weeks to wax it - they also said to only use meguiars wax because it is gentle on new paint - seemed to work ok for me
