How to Clean a SS fuel Filter?

I have been looking to find a write up on how to clean a Stainless Steel Fuel Filter Element and so far have found zero write ups.

This is the filter that is on my car now. http://www.racepartsolutions.com/in...ron-element-pn-jod-915601-race-part-solutions and it says it is a cleanable/reusable filter element.

Anyone ever clean a SS fuel filter? If so what did you use? anything special I need to worry about etc?

Well washing it with fuel sounds dumb but works when you wash it in it. Thinners and or hot water with a degreaser. I recently washed my SS oil filter as thats reuseable and i used water and a little bit of degreaser then rinsed again.

Don't use anything too aggressive hot water and degreaser like ec17pse said
