hey whats up??? I have a 95 Gs. I was just wondering what things would I need to make a full complete turbo kit for my 95 gs?? I reasearched the whole boost thing for a while now like how it works and what not I also looked at some turbo kits they have for our cars which were alright but really wasn't worth what they were asking for to me. Right now my car is a stock AT. I dont have a whole lot of money((college student)) but I also love my car as well if anyone could help me I would be so happy

1) Where in Miramar are you? I live in Miramar too.

2) Have you searched? IF you did you would have noticed that a tech member, chris (gsgoinfast) did a write up on this.

3) Do not be discourged by your tranny - I am a a604 as well & I am planning on boosting.

4) What school are you going to?

P.S. You might want to use punctuation when on this forum since the moderators will not tolerate those types of sentences.

The first part of this quote should set off as many alarms for you as it did for me. First off if you're still in school and low on money I would NOT recomend a turbo install. Wait until you are through with school and have a significant amount of money coming in. Key point there is to WAIT!

The car is a 95 so my guess it that you have over 80K on the clock already. At this point in time your block (rings and pistons mainly) will not handle boost. They're too worn for such a drastic change in pressures. You will see alot more miles out of it NA but don't boost.

You're looking about $5-6K do this job right and that's with you doing most of the work. $3K for a good, complete turbo kit and another $2-3K in a block that is built for boost. Expect about a month or more of down time if you're going to school as well.

Personally, having had an N/A Auto I would spend your money, at this point in time, on suspension and brakes. Sorry, they don't make you go faster in a straight line, but they will help you keep that car planted firmly on the pavement. Wheels and tires, Sway bars front and rear, GSX front brakes, convert to disc if you're an RS and lowering springs (1.5" only, no lower) and some tokico shocks. Maybe a cat-back so long as it's 2.5" so you can still get some use out of it when you finally get around to turbo'ing it.

However, before even doing those things I would bring all of your maintenance up to spec. Front and rear brakes should be good and no pedal pulsation while using them (mod your way out of this if repairs are needed), New plugs, wires and if you're 80K or more put a new upstream o2 sensor in. Timing belt, water pump and the two pulleys with bearings in them should all be replaced, and all of your fluids should be changed/checked. Your transmission REALLY needs attention because they do have a tendency to fail especially with lack of maintenance.

Right on all but one, IMHO. Just run a compression test and see what you're sitting at. 40,000 miles or 250,000 miles, just do it and get a good idea on how your motor is holding up. I boosted close to his milage with zero issues (as far as the bottom end was concerned) and there are others that have boosted with almost twice the milage. It's going to pop sooner or later so might as well go out with a bang and a short block ready to go in.

Thank you all well my car has been down for like three months and I finally got it back. I got a whole new motor and put it in my self and what not the car runs good now so i am just tryin to make it more aggressive because i kill hondas but when it comes to others they just look and laugh at me and my car :sosad:
