how to adjust projectors [97-99]

hey guys,
i've had my projectors for about 4 months now and they are bright as crap.. i need to tone it down a bit because i'm getting flashed by people all the time and tailed by cops..

i know you can adjust the projectors but i can't figure out which bolt to adjust..

is it the bronze one [phillips] located on the bottom outside of the low beam [ rear of the housing ]

or is it that spiral looking phillips head screw?

i'm sure you guys with projectors know what i'm talking about. plus, do you screw it clockwise or counter clockwise to move the angle down?

Are they really bright or just misaligned so they're shining above where they should be (i.e. in to people's eyes)? I've never heard anyone say the projectors for our cars were actually bright... at least not relative to the stock headlights. Just curious

Wish I could help though, but I can't remember how the adjustment worked... I do remember that I figured out which screw did what by looking at where located and how they adjusted the projector's orientation. Just took a second to visualize how it would rotate with the different adjustments and then I was able to get them aligned.

i see what you're saying.. but yea, they're misaligned to the point where it shines into people's eyes.. i get flashed all the time.. and my friends hate driving in front of me ..

i guess i'll just have to experiment tomorrow..

post some pics of what the rear of the housing looks like, mine have knobs on the back for adjusting, or IM me, we can figure it out
