So do I remove the line and set base pressure and then return the hose.

Cause when I set it to 43.5 psi and put the hose back on it goes down to about 30 psi

Is it supposed to becuase when boost starts to build it raises it back to 43.5psi because there is no vaccum and then it starfts to raise with boost?

Since you have ECMlink, do it using the program.
1. Zip tie the vacuum line on to the AFPR.
2. Turn the key to ON (don't start the car) and connect link.
3. Go to the Misc. tab and check "Activate fuel pump".
4. Check and adjust fuel pressure.
5. Uncheck box, let sit a few seconds, and check it again to turn the pump back on.
6. Double check fuel pressure.
7. Uncheck box to turn off fuel pump.

Yes, the pressure will drop when you have the vacuum line attached. Your fuel pressure will drop 1 psi for every 2 inHg of vacuum. For example, if your idle vacuum is 20 inHg, your fuel pressure will drop 10 psi to 33.5 psi once you re-attach the vacuum line.

Its normal for it to drop when you plug the hose back in, you have to fully warm up the car then disconnect the line, set base pressure, then reconnect and you are good to go.
