Hey guys, i recently installed the following:

AEROMOTIVE AFPR
WALBRO 255
FIC 650cc INJECTORS
EVOIII BIG16G
3" SS TURBOBACK
2.5" TUBULAR O2 HOUSING DUMPED
DSMLink

Problem is I can't keep the car running for more than 2-6 seconds and it runs REALLY rough, if I gas it it will die, if I let it try to idle it will die. I started removing fuel through DSMLink, and it started sounding slightly better, but still it kept dieing. Before I could remove more than like 35 or 40% of fuel my battery died and I had to give up for the night. I believe my problem is too much fuel, I don't think there should be too much since DSMLink is suppose to come semi pre-tuned.

I set the fuel pressure on the aeromotive afpr, when I had the turbo out of the car (obvious big vaccum leak here). I turned the fuel pump on through dsmlink with the car shut off. So i set it to 42-43 psi. I have no idea how to correctly set it, or if the way I set it would cause a rich situation when I am trying to start it.

Please tell me how to set it, mind you I cannot keep the car running for long yet so that might not be an option.

Thanks in advance! :thumb:

What I did, which got me a good base to start the car with, was to jump the fuel pump test connector while my battery was being jumped (engine off.) While the pump was running, I set the base fuel pressure. That got me a decent idle, then I further adjusted it while it idled.

You could do this same thing in DSMLink. Again, turn the pump on, just set base fuel pressure with the engine off, then further adjust it while it idles.

Yea, thats what I did, but I see people's posts about setting it with the vacuum stuff off, and it being different then when on/etc.

You could try setting it lower, mine's set at 30 psi right now with the vac line hooked up. You could try that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it should matter either way, considering that the engine is off and no vacuum or boost is being applied to the hose.

Of course it'll change when the car is turned on, but it should decrease, not increase.

yea you are correct, no vacuum when the car is off, I mean't with the car started and the vacuum tubing on/off

I will turn the FP down to, good idea thanks ! :D
