ECUflash How to add SD and WBO2 to ROM 94170715?

So I finally got my car running on ROM 94170715! None of the other ROMs would work for me, I dont know why.

Now I need to get SD and WBO2 logging/open loop running. How do I add these features to my ROM?

You download 94171715 from the tephra v7 thread.

There is still something disturbingly wrong with your car though and before you move to anything else you need to determine what that is. If you can only run 9417 then we need to know why. Have you tried a non-SD 9653 or 9055 rom?

I know... If you knew what I've went through with this car...

My car will run on both the 715 option 2 and 3.

Runs on 2 good enough to drive, but hits a fuel cut wall at 2k+ with a load. In neutral it will rev to redline, but only at .5 throttle. No knock. I cannot find a 2g maf scaling that works as good or better than the stock evo one that's preset.

On the sd rom, straight from the website, will idle very rough for 30sec or less. So I went back to option 2.

I attempted to follow the sd info page on evom, and copy all the important stuff from the Ron you sent me. Tr car will not fire again.

I bought another ecu, from a 2001 3G, same issues with the other roms.

If it helps at all. I'm running my aem uego in the front o2 location, nb to ecu, and no rear o2 at all.

Also, when I do get a cel, I cannot read it with evoscan..

Here's a log from my .5 mile trip. Hits fuel cut at 1.5k in 5th, it will not let me give it throttle until it hits idle rpm.

I cant upload it, its 1.13mb... Any ways around that?

Don't copy stuff from the rom that I sent you, use it as is. I changed everything that needed to be changed for your car to run as is for the most part but expect idle fueling to be a little weird because closed loop is off. Keep it that way.


Do you have a working narrowband o2 sensor? Before messing with everything else get your car to run in a fairly normal configuration. Out of everything trying to run your wideband o2 sensor into your front o2 signal is probably the issue. Yes, it can be done a couple of different ways for different reasons, but don't do it until you have the car running and you can be sure that that isn't your issue. FWIW the rom I sent you uses no o2 sensors at all so hopefully it should bypass any problems with that.


Please also answer why you want the front o2 sensor signal to come from the WBo2.

Finally, post the rom you're working with.

Ok. I will post the rom when I get home tonight.

I have a working rear o2 sensor, but my front o2 was dead.

As for the wbo2. I was planning on running open loop once I got the car up and running on sd.

What config should I put the o2's in? Stock up front and wbo2 in the rear?

I wouldn't even use the WBo2 through stock wiring. Instead build a serial cable for it.

I would also suggest replacing the front o2 sensor with a good stock one. Getting this car dialed in and happy will be much easier with a working front NBo2 sensor. You can go to open loop later but you'll just end up frustrated and having a hard time if you start with open loop without experience tuning. In fact the easiest way to tune full time open loop is to start by getting closed loop dialed in perfectly.

The front does all the important work. The rear only exists for the purpose of checking catalytic converter function and does not affect anything but the check engine light. When we get that far we can turn off the annoying CEL with periphery bits.

Ok. Awesome. I'll upload the rom I'm using and get that sensor installed.

THE CAR RUNS!!!!! It was the TPS, its basically failed. I unplugged it and it runs great!!
