how tough are the 1st gens? is the stock suspension/frame strong enough to go rallying or off-roading in?

LOL well, if u are all stock, u are gonna break something. Then u will upgrade that part, love it, break something else, upgrade, fall in love, and stay breaking and upgrading, forever and ever, amen. LOL

I rally in my eclipse and got heavy duty suspension and full gutted and roll cage. its a great car to rally in. Ive beaten most evos Ive come across but that's because I was a better driver then them. But evos do have a slight advantage handling wise over the GSX

A lot of it is going to have to do with the age and mileage on your suspension, keep in mind that driving a 90 any part of your suspension that has not been replaced has 19 years of wear on it and however many miles your odometer states. Fairly new suspension components will take a hell of a beating but something thats 15 years old with 160,000 miles on it just might break the next time you hit a pothole.
