There is no info in their website but i heard from other people that they last 20,000-50,000 miles. I have about 9,000 on mine right now but i don't know when to replace it....

My Westach probe has been in the #1 runner for about 2-3 years now (about 15,000 miles or so). I've taken it out a few times and it looks okay and reads okay. I got the clamp on probe with the "long life" tip, whatever that means. I already have a replacement one, but it's one you have to tap the hole for.

previous threads....2 people is not quite often :thumb:

That is what I am hoping for...that they only break once in a blue moon. Some of the previous threads that I read made it seem like if they are tapped into the manifold that they are likely to break quite often...

Damn dude stop your bitching and stop cluttering my post with worthless shit. If your scared then put it in the downpipe, does it seem like i care or anyone else cares? If your so scared you might as well sell your car to someone who does b/c you might get crankwalk and that small percentage is enough not to own a dsm. 99% of people with turbo cars put the egt probe in the manifold. No matter what anyone says it the most accurate and correct place to put it. Just b/c some little mama's boy is too scared to put it in the manifold b/c some have broken off on couple people doesn't mean everyone should do it. There are 2 factors faulty manufacturing and improper installation that cause them to break. Mine has been in my manifold almost 10,000 miles and it's not going to break.
