How much will the stock axles hold up to?

90 awd tsi 5sp w/ 4 bolt rear from 92 tsi. anyone know about how much hp the stockers will take before breaking? i plan on having close to 350-375 AWHP. if not, where can i get axles that can take it?

It's more depent on traction. With a 4 bolt rear end you be fine because unlinke our counter parts (FWD) We stress all 4 instead of just 2. I think you should be safe up to 500+ but that all depend on tires and other factors.

wheel hop and high rev take off's might be something else to think about. Will you be doing such?

I did wheel hops in my EVO when I had it. So it's possible.

well ive got a complete AGX shock/ Eiback spring suspension backage thats completely adjustable and wide ass 235/45/ZR17 Tires so hopefully i should be able to tune correctly for the wheelhop

One GSX w/ 320K, another w/200K. Both have stock 3bolt.

I know stock axles are good for 520 hp. There are couple dsm guys, that are making more than 500 hp plus with stock axle and 4olt rearend. It all depends on your driven. Thanks oj

my litle bros awd laser is making 501 to the ground for a few years and no problems with the stock axels as of yet

I would like to put in that I broke the front right CV joint on my TSI shifting into second gear when I was making only 400ish HP. So they won't necssarly hold up to 500 HP forever.

All I can say is shep runs stock 4 axles.

I'm sure they are not sock, in a video he said he was runnin a c/f drive shaft with "driveshaft shop" axles. They also modified the transfer case for him.
