Hey guys i have a built engine and a 60-1 recently put on. how much boost can the 2100 hold. What psi would be safe to use and not break it. i truly believe that my tranny is in greater danager than the clutch but, hey what does eveyone else think??

322 ft lbs of torque. the 60-1 at 10 psi puts something like 260 to the wheels, so you might be able to run at 15 psi? :)

EDIT: SORRY i got my search window mixed up with my "new posts" window. :tease:

Well if it holds 322 ft lbs then assume that to be around 275 ft lbs at the wheels. You can run as much boost as you want as long as you don't make over 275 ft lbs of torque at the wheels.

I put down 333 ft lbs at the wheels on a 2100 bak when I was running a 16g, no cams intake manifold or fmic, and had no slippage issues.

you will easily kill it in a season I would imagine, if you run it hard

Agreed. Awds are really hard on clutches to begin with and the 2100 is only a modest upgrade from stock. I burnt a 2100 up in about 6000 miles of hard driving with only a small 16g back in the day. I would recommend either the 2600 or a spec stage III (bad ass clutch) if you are serious about getting anywhere that 60-1.

Good Luck. :thumb:
