Like the title show,
The only mods I have on the car right now is
3" straight thru exhaust(no cat)
3" aftermarket intake
SAFC2
Greddy EBC.
2100 clutch.
Short shifter.

The car is is a 98 2g.
I heard from people that I should be only going up to the most 7psi.
But i search on the forums and see people going up to 13psi on a stock 2g.
Is that safe for the car?I don't want to over boost the car.
thanks in advance guys

On stock fuel and a stock turbo there's no need to go over 12-13 psi since the turbo's small and will lose steam in the upper RPM's. The best way to tell is to hook up a logger and look for dips in timing that would indicate knock.

Cheers,

Andy

oh boy you are getting sucked in :) since your raising the boost , get ready to spend some cash :) since i started modding my car 98gst i spent same amopunt on mods as the price i bought the car(new engine included). Double or nothing as i say :) Good luck :)

All that stuff ain't gonna help you until you get an upgraded bov. the stocker will leak somewhere between 8 and 14 psi. Ive heard probably a hundred or more peoples arguements about exactly where it will leak, but I have personally seen them leak within this range. usually you will notice a difference in response, and in boost staying on in the higher rpms. If you try to run higher boost on the stocker you are going to over work the turbo and hurt performance.

Thanks for the info guys,
I forgot to include that the car has a walbro fuel 255,a boost gauge & EGT gauge.
I just order a fmic & bov online,I was planning to go for the evo3 16g turbo kit.
Since I search & see that alot of people is happy with that turbo.

GSTB16GTURBO or Andy: So I should set my EBC to low boost & gain for now right till I upgrade my turbo?

OLDMAN: I took the SAFC off old my old car & put it on this one.
